XplorEgy is a project run by AIESEC in Ain Shams University in Cairo,Egypt that aims to promote Egypt's local culture and improves its tourism rates over the next years. It strives to provide a good quality experiences and visit as many places as to give the volunteers the chance to discover and explore different places and assure a huge exposure to the diverse culture in Egypt. All through a good atmosphere filled with fun and comfort. The project is aiming to make a contribution towards the country, specifically the economy, through promoting tourism in Egypt and showcasing to the world that Egypt is a safe and beautiful country with a lot of potential, presenting Egypt from the eyes of a group of volunteers who share a common passion which is exploring, discovering and opening up to a new culture. The project participants visit more than 14 different cities around the country to take pictures, record videos or maybe something as simple as writing a blog. Finally, putting those things all together to get a full picture of the country and invite others to come and start their own journey. During my humanitarian trip to Egypt, As a Participant, I had the opportunity to work in a team of various nationalities. Our mission was to promote tourism by launching a campaign through blogs and social media communication. I contributed in the creation of contents that were meant to be shared with our followers. My goal was to show that Egypt is beyond what we see in the media. In order to achieve my goal, I decided that my content will focus more on people, on their generosity, their kindness and their altruism. At the end, all our work was rewarded and appreciated by The NGO. We visited Luxor, Aswan, Nuba, Kom Ombo, Edfu, Taba, Dahab, Nweibaa, Ras Shitan, Saint Catherine and also in Cairo, Giza, Fayoum, Alexandria, Siwa. For me everything was good and the program was really good organized and the trips, hotels. Except the accommodation/ hosting in Cairo it wasn't good and not clean.
